Lewis Hamilton - Douché - Belgian GP (spoiler)

i've defended Lewis in the past but once again, he's been an idiot this weekend.

Firstly, am i the only one who thought he put a bit of a swerve on Maldonado ( the new Montoya?) before Maldonado pulled across him? Deserve it? No, but as Britney said, hes Not that Innocent.

Secondly, versus Kobayashi....three words. MIRROR signal manouver.

I can't believe he and Whitmash lay the blame at Kobayashi saying they hit him up the back??!!!!WTF? The only piece of class at McLaren this year is Button (exluding the Head and Shoulders commercial!) Kobayashi and Hamilton are cut from the same cloth imho, hard racers, put the two together i guess this could always happen.

nice one Jenson and as much as it pains me, well done Michael!

great race :)

The accident with Kobayashi I see a bit differently as he moved out to take the race line through the bend as you'd expect... I dont see what Kobayashi was hoping to do going on the outside like that... But I dont think blame sits on one side entirely!

i assume kobayashi was trying to hinder Hamilton by taking his racing line, compromising his entry and therefore corner speed and exit, givign him a chance to have another run at him at the next right hander at Bruxelle.

Another point is that you are only supposed to make one defensive move, lewis made his a couple of hundred meters earlier ( i dont agree with that rule though! )

IF you look at the onboard footage from just above Lewis Hamilton's view you can see that he cannot even see the driver on his left hand side at all. He was just taking the racing line...

Racing incident. Simple as.

Hamilton's fast, he just needs to learn how to be a racer. Rookie mistakes.

To finish first, first you must finish.

Sometimes an overtake strategy needs a couple of laps to execute.

If you're going to be ruthless , you have to be completely ruthless.

See Schumacher for details (but not these days. Boy he's mellowed) 8-)

:stupid:

agreed, although I think hamilton is the sort of driver who wants to be first no matter what. There is nothing wrong with that, but it does get him in trouble from time to time and i think he takes a few too many risks

As for button. Has anyone noticed the further down the grid he is in the first lap (if that means he starts low in the grid, or gets caught up in an accident like a few weeks ago when he span and was 20th on lap 2) the higher he seems to finish, but if he starts in the top 5 he will end up finishing in a worse position than he started in.

As soon as i saw he started 13th I predicted he would finish 4th. Wasn't far out.

Button overtook far more people without touching anyone, indeed he overtook 2 in one move ( although he was touched at the start).

As for rookie mistakes, he shouldnt be making them anymore, this his 5th year in F1, and been racing since he was 8. Personally, i think he is making far more mistakes than he should be at this stage in his career. He should certainly be learning from them anyway.

did you see the replay of a piece of someones car flying past him and taking off his mirror?

And yea, I agree with that. He should have a bit more respect for other racers too

I also usuall defend lewis, however he did his usual Chinese at an overtaking car as the guy came past, he has done it in the past but what happened next was bad.

However, its interesting to note Lewis was warned over the incident (note that the race officials have more footage to review than the TV shots, they also can get parts of the telelemetry) so there was a bit more to it than we all saw.

Didn't know he was warned...which incident? Maldonado or Kobayashi?

The Maldonaldo incident from what I remember.

Was just a slap on the wrist !!
