wire Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 (edited) Oh a new section.I own a Red Ducati 749R, I bought it in May 2010 and at the time it had 4400 miles on the clock and atm i have put 1200 miles on it. It cost me £7600 from Ducati Manchester in Sale. The bike is on a 54 plate and was made in 2004.To say that they are unrealiable would be unfair but the exhaust has fell off, the top of the spark plug burnt out and i have had many problems with the clutch oh and it cuts out a lot.But lets not forget this is a race bike and not a road bike so needs constant looking after and lots of love. Being a race bike the power is distributed perfectly unlike any other bike i have rode, the ride although uncomfortable at first is perfect when your riding fast. This is the only bike i have ever rode that corners like its on rails. The breaks and the suspension are the best and the noise from the termi exhaust is deafening.I have been thinking of upgrading to a 1098 R or maybe a 1198 but funds are low atm. I would recommend everybody atleast has a go of a Ducati at some stage in there life.http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f73/wire69/DSCF0082.jpg (edit to show pic - vicki) Edited August 30, 2011 by wire Quote
