Fitting bar end mirrors to an SR125?!

Right basically, feel free to call me stupid and send me on my way, but I've been mucking around with my visuals, changing my seat shape, and going for a cafe racer look. I bought some bar end mirrors, but when i removed my grips on my bike, I found it doesnt appear to have bar ends at all. Its literally like a plug of metal which is then covered by the edge of the grips. Its got me right annoyed, because I havent got a clue how I can hollow it out/remove the 'plug' to fit the insert for the mirrors.

Any ideas, or is it just not plausable?

I've been told I could drill them out but the mirrors I've bought seem very light, I have a feeling I'd get wobbles

They'd only work on the left side, as the throttle goes right up to the edge of the bar on the right, so it'd twist with the throttle, lol

You alright mate?

Go a bit further back, do you have clip on bars? (As in the bar is held on by clamps in the middle)

And if so can you get a cafe race style set of bars for the bike? As if you can get them the right size and diameter you are sorted. Then you just have to swap the assemblies onto that set of bars and give yourself some space at the end of the bars for those mirrors. :)

Mine's one complete bar clamped in the centre, but its an idea, never crossed my mind that I could change them completely. So simple, cheers man
