Guest Hodgy Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 im not sure it could a connection as until recently it been charging the battery and most of the wires are taped up drains it from full to dead in around 30 mins Thinking about it, it's draining so quick as your headlamp is on all the time, plus fuel injection and pump all use power. If not a connection then a component has failed, but it's quite a new bike with low miles, so although it's possible, I would always start with the cheap options first.Good luck getting it sorted thanks for the info gonna strip the bike and have a look in the morningany idea how long the warranty will take to transfer into my name?only sent it off this morning I hope you find it's just something silly and can sort it No idea how long it will take to transfer the warrenty, but I expect they will require it to have been serviced accoring to the service schedule or they may not fix it? toon83 Posted September 17, 2011 Author Posted September 17, 2011 it aint due another service until 4k miles.now the bike wont turn on at all Quote
Fozzie Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 If it doesnt charge then the alternator or the reg/rec has gone...Check connections to the reg/rec and see if its just that as well as the alternator. There are plenty on ebay usually so you could try to get one cheap first to see if that works before shipping it off? Quote
