Got my first pair of motorbike boots in the post today :D they are Sidi but no idea on which model. I used to wear trainers on my bike and thought they felt normal but riding with proper boots feels so much safer and stops my ankles getting cold lol

You bought them but dont know which model lol

I might plump for some better quality boots next time, might not go thru them as quick!

Sounds like you got a bit of a bargain there....decent bike boots do make a difference for sure.... 8-)

I got a pair of Sidi Black Rain Evo's off eBay earlier in the year....really nice boots, but not completely waterproof as I found out on the way to the TMBF rally!!

Bike boots in Lidl for something stupidly cheap (as long as you are a size 7, 8 or 9 if in Kettering)

And waterpoof one-pieces & bike covers.

You just need to keep checking... google is your friend :)

And why are you looking for some more boots? I got mine off ebay for £40 and they lasted me years! :)

Sorry - was in Lidly and they were there tonight.

Bummer if you aren't near Kettering or, like me, come in any of the pixie sizes on offer I guess. :)

Got Sidi's myself and would be hard pushed for me to consider anything else in future as the fit on them around my fat (I like to think muscular) calves is great and I couldnt get any other manufacturers boots to be comfy.

Must say though that I would never dream of riding around in trainers. The dangers of coming off a bike and the damage it can do to you is bad enough, so cant understand why anyone who rides would at not at least have a pair of bike boots to give that added protection. Probably get a pair for £20 off ebay if you search around, cheaper than a pair of trainers.

Bought my wife a decent pair of SIDI motorx boots for protection as a passenger on my bikes, used maybe 20 times for pleasure rides out, then- kids came along and her gear got left in the cub board. 12 years later, she wants to join me, getting her gear out, the boots have disintegrated! The rubber/plastic front shin parts have split and fallen away. Not what I was expecting from an expensive decent set of boots. The company say they're too old, even though they're hardly worn, and not interested.

So even expensive makes don't last. All the other gear is as it should be, including boots etc.
