I have used this on a YBR125 and KLE500 and it works by lifting the swing arm on the opposite side from the side stand. You just put the jack underneath and push down the pivot and the bike lifts enough that the rear wheel is clear of the ground by only a few mm. I have cleaned and oiled the chain and adjusted it whilst using the jack.
