Guest Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 Hello,I'm about to do an off-road motorbike trip in Cambodia, so it's going to be super hot.Does anyone know what the best/coolest/most lightweight breathable summer motorbike trousers you can buy on the market are at the moment? It would be great if they're textile material & have built-in knee protectors.Thanks,Ed. Quote
Throttled Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 I wear RST armoured jeans during the warm weather. The same ones are an older version of the Kevlar jeans listed herehttp://www.rst-moto.com/index.php/products/C16/ Quote
Guest akey Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 If its full on off road then look at using MX or enduro gear, OK you will need seperate knee pads, but it will be the coolest kit going and if its off road you really want the protection of MX boots as the chances of catching your foot and twisting it are much higher. The down side is MX pants are not much cop in a road spill !!I have O'neil MX pants and they are great off road, but I really wouldnt wear them for much road work as I dont think they would last long in a spill on tarmac. lucky Posted October 3, 2011 Posted October 3, 2011 BMW do a 2 suits for the kind of trip your planning. one is the rallye 3 the other is the trail guard. Si Pavey Wears a rallye 3 when doing the paris-dakar. So proven in competition.for full details: http://www.bmw-motorrad.co.uk/equipment ... pment.htmlbit pricey but have all the features you want with a two year warrenty. Quote
