Ive got a gopro non hd and its good but sounds is crap really but mate races his car off road and he has a gopro hd and the quality is great and a lot better sound! You just need to get extra mounting brackets! :)

the motorsports version comes with mounting tabs, sucker thingies so should be ok as-is

no-one else used it/have any experience?

Check out rebelyell91 on youtube ( youtube.com/rebelyell91 ), he uses gopro hd as far as I know, but he records sound on a voice recorder.

Or you can get a Drift HD170 which has external mic input so you don't need to sync video and audio later.

Sound on all of helmet/bike cameras will be poor, unless you ride a Goldwing/Pan Euro or plug in external mic and hide it away from wind

I spent a lot of time looking at HD camera's and decided on the go pro as it came with all the waterproof bits!

The sounds quality with the waterproof casing leaves a lot to be desired but the image quality is stunning. I've got fantastic footage from Scotland and the Alps.

If you've got the money then I'd say go for it. If you're not worried about the waterproof aspect then the Contour HD camera would be just as good.

The fittings by the way are extremely secure and, having tested them off road (ahem) are fine up to an indicated 120mph! I'm sure it would have been fine going faster but I don't really like going that quick on the bike.
