With the Shark S900 I got a lot of wind on my face which was really anoying (i don't get this with the Arai). The Shark S900 has a quick release chin strap mechanism which was good but not as good as the Arai double D ring system.

Also the air flow system in the Arai is a lot better. You can really feel the air when you open the vents. The aria is comfy, light, looks mint visor is ace. The anti fog element of the visor is amazing! Literallty does not fog up...at all! My mate also had a tinted visor which he threw in and the clarity through it is really really good. So much better than the drop down sun visor in the Shark lid.

Overall i guess you get what you pay for and it really shows.

Happy lad!

Aria Don't fit my head because it's an odd shape (my head not Aria helmets).

I also had a S900 as my first helemt, I thought it was good, until I upgraded, now I don't know how I coped with it.

The worst part for me is the fact that the visor window seems a lot smaller than my Shoei. I do miss that drop down sun visor though.

The Arai viper is a different shape to old arai lids apparently and the padding inside is completely customisable. I did try a shoei xr1100 and scorpion exo1000 but my mate offered me his arai (only used for a month) at a price I could not say no to. Also came with tinted visor.

I liked the fit of all 3 lids but the shoei was the least snug. All good lids.

When I started riding people said they were not worth the money but I could not disagree more!

I have the Arai Viper GT Banda and it is some lid compared to my old BOX lid

My dad bought the Arai V Marker and says my Arai is a better fit. Guessing not all Arai's are the same shape then.

I tried the Shoei X1100 I think it was. Nice lid but didnt fir me too well. It seemed to be too high on my forehead and too tight on the forehead. Iv asked a few guys and they found the exact same. I do fancy a AGV GP Tech next. Maybe a Valentino special jobbie :D

The only thing id say about it is it is a tad noisy. Which make of lid is the quietest? Anyone know?

The only thing I am not keen on is the Visor catch. Pain in the bum to use! I have not heard very good things about agv so didn't really look at them.

The right helmet for you , is the right helmet for you. Fit is everything. I've paid a lot for rubbish and very little for quality. Each rider has different requirements. I had an open face once and the vents were great. Glasses never steamed up once, had a bee in me beard and everything 8-)
