Guest Posted October 28, 2011 Posted October 28, 2011 yes got a rear stand been using that for ages no problem, but when the bike is up on that, as it is before I try to use the front one, when I try to put the bike on the front stand the whole thing, bike and rear stand creep forward and then I cant seem to lift the front at all. annoying the s**t out of me now Quote

Might be easier if you get someone to hold the bars while you lift, to steady the bike.Just don't try lifting the front without the rear in position first... like I did Quote
Guest Posted October 28, 2011 Posted October 28, 2011 thanks for that, just not confident enough keep thinking my pride and joy will be in a heap on the floor needed expensive attention, will give it another go tomorrow Quote

Sparky65 Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 An Abba stand, that's what you want for a one-person operation. I use one on my ER-6 and it's steady as a rock. Quote
Guest philgale Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 be careful the rear stand doesn't come up when moving forward...its not nice catching a bike Quote
Stu Posted December 29, 2011 Posted December 29, 2011 Push the stand down and back and get someone to steady the bike the first few times Quote
