Zip For Jacket / Trouser Attachment

Hi,

I just buying my first biking kit. I have purchased a Frank Thomas jacket although now i cannot find any FT trousers i like or in my size. I have found a pair by another manufacture (Buffalo Eagle) on ghostbike.com Does anyone know if the 6 Inch trouser / jacket zip attachment tends to be an industry standard where you can mix and match brands or do each brand tend to use their own size zips? (Length & teeth size etc)

Bad news, there is no industry standard. You might be lucky but if all else fails you can have zips changed or even have adapters to convert one type to another.

I've got a Duchini jacket which zips onto my RST trousers so sometimes they do mix and match but I know the Hein Gericke jackets wouldn't zip on as it's completely different zip (mine is heavy duty teeth, HG is fine) Could maybe ask Ghostriders for a photo of the zip? They are very helpful!

Thanks for the info and a great idea to ask ghostbikes will do that i think.
