Right im after abit of help my brother got a yamaha ybr125 as his first bike and everytime he leaves it on the side stand after abit the bike wont start like theres no fuel

it happens if its been left for 10 min or even a few hours its becoming a pain as he was just here and had to bump the bike to get it to start

he tried leaving it on the main stand and sometimes has the same problems i dont think its right

it happens more on short journeys ie from work home which is about 2 mile max

sorry if i have posted this in the wrong place

Sounds like the battery is knackered or not charging. But i'm no expert, i'm sure someone will be along to help you soon :)

Does it turn over? Or try to start the engine when you press the starter switch if yes then it's not the battery, if no then it is, if it's a battery problem you might want to get it replaced, or topped up with fluid,

I tend to agree. If it will bump start OK then it sounds more electrical than fuel. Interesting that it seems to make a difference whether the bike is on the side or centre stand. This could be a red herring but could indicate a loose connection or short.
