Guest Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 Hey guys, first of all, this seems to be a real great forum. My Problem conisders my cloths which I usally wear while fixing my bike. I always been wearing just an old pair of pants and some kind of sweatshirt. Now I guess they are trying to give up and don't want to be used any longer;) So I'm looking for some new stuff to work in it. My search started as always online and our friend with the big g in front of his name suggested to take a look at http://www.engelbert-strauss.co.uk/work-clothes.html. I've already heard about the strauss clothes and I'm really thinking about buying some stuff there. But I'm not sure;) So if anybody has bought something there in the past or has an opionen about these clothes, you're welcome to help me. What do you think about it? Quote
Tango Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 Old jeans, old T-shirt & old fleece (if it's cold)...........but I guess you could consider a boiler suit? Quote
Bonniebird Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 I go for a sequined corset and tafeta tutu myself........and knee pads Quote
Weebl Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 Buying clothes specifically to go and get oily and dirty fixing your own bike? Not a chance. Stuff like that is a possibility if you do it for a living, maybe. Apart from that wear something old that you don't mind getting dirty and ruined. Absolute worst case buy a pair of Overalls if you don't want anything you already own getting ruined, they should be £10-15 at your local market or Army Surplus store. Quote

nman1 Posted June 8, 2012 Posted June 8, 2012 FFS do not do up your bike in "pants".Firstly, you may get very badly sunburnt legs,Secondly, not recomended if welding or doing other work near hot stuff.Thirdly, the very thought I would however suggest some good sturdy trousers or jeans. Quote
