Started doing my service today so thought I would start of with the easy bit, A Spark plug change !

Got two out went to the other side and the far plug socket had a stone stuck in the recess where the plug goesm wedged solid so I couldn't get the blooming socket on it

Took me 40 minutes to get the stone out then it came out easy

I noticed in the Haynes manual it mentions using compressed air to blow out loose stones from the plug recess but I never imagined how much gravel there was in there !

Ha ha. The same thing happened to me once. There was lots of shouting and swearing going in in the garage that day!

So how much gravel fell into the cylinder when you took the socket out? :crybaby:

Hopefully None !

I blew compressed air before fully taking out the plugs then put greese on my finger and tried to "pick up" as much as possible.

Plugs were really rusty too !!
