Im trying to remove the basket/housing (number 5 on the diagram). If you look at the diagram the nut (marked 15) moves with the ratchet (it moves freely) and number 3 moves aswell (whether in gear or not)!. How do you get it (number 15 nut) off? Ive looked on youtube and it says to use a motorcycle wrench. It seems to be really jammed on though. Any tips?

thanks

There is usually a special tool that locks the clutch basket and stops it from turning while you undo the nut, you may be able to fabricate something that will pass through the open splines on the basket and bolt to somewhere immovable, but be careful, the splines on the basket will break off and the bolt is very very tight!

Good luck :thumb:

Hi, just a tip to let people know, it is possible to remove the nut, holding in the clutch basket with an air-socket. It came off very quickly and easily just holding the housing with my hand (save yourself some money if you ever have to do this).

cheers
