howard48 Posted August 10, 2012 Posted August 10, 2012 If you buy one second hand under 1 year old , if a problem happenes you wontbe covered under the warranty, it only covers the first owner... if you contact the company they will be rude to you and are of no help. as i found out myself.... beware Quote
Throttled Posted August 10, 2012 Posted August 10, 2012 IMO and experience warranties are a waste of time. I self warranty and if say a warranty is £200, I put that amount into an account. An actuary somewhere has calculated that the cost of likely repairs, cost of running the warranty company and profit for the company means they need £200 to cover most claims. So keep the money yourself and if something does go wrong, you have £200 towards repairs. Best of all, no need to fanny about making a claim and no exclusions. I have been doing that for years and my warranty account usually has about £500 in it at any one time and I have never been caught short. Quote
