Could do worse than to have a look at the Shark range. You can get the S600/700 for that money.

I ended up with the s900c for £199 - best fit for me by far due to the air-pumped cheek pads. The fit is so good that I can't get it off my head with the pads pumped up.

go to a bike shop with 150 bats in your back pocket and try loads on?

and then smash every one with the bats whilst wearing them and see which hurts least??

 didnt even know this technology existed! Not sure if I would trust it. I mean its obviously safe, but I would be scared I would pop it!

I would go to a shop try a load on and keep the sales person eager, then once you've found one that fits nicely let the sales person know but its a bit pricy then say you're going to another shop to try some more on. That's when the haggling starts, go in low let's say £140 for a £200 helmet it's always worth a try chances are they'll say no keep going up until you both agree on a price lets say £170 that way you save yourself £30, if the sales person says he can't do anything about the price ask for the manage theyre always after a sale! Be brash, be bold, and good luck!

When I asked about the longevity of this technology, the sales assistant said that they have never had any back, nor heard of any problems. Not sure if this is just sales talk though. I took the lining apart to have a look and it does look like the air bladders are made of a strong material. Only time will tell though.

No the M3 is a slightly more expensive lid. M1 is still current.

They come in a range of colours

Get yourself to a show like the bmf this weekend. You'll find vendors selling pretty much every helmet from every manufacturer. All at good prices.
