RiffmasterII Posted November 30, 2012 Posted November 30, 2012 Im getting myself a new helmet and thought Id get one with bluetooth, have been looking at the Viper helmet. Does anybody have one that can give a review? Or does anybody have a different Bluetooth helmet they would recommend? Thanks Quote
Voodoo Posted November 30, 2012 Posted November 30, 2012 I've got a bluetooth helmet I wouldn't recommend (Duchinni D909), but when I come to replace it I'll definately be going for another bluetooth type helmet. The only reason I don't recommend it is the intercom is only really usefull upto 40mph, after that forget it. Quote
RiffmasterII Posted November 30, 2012 Author Posted November 30, 2012 cheers Voodoo, Ive currently stripped down an ipod docking station and fitted it into my helmet, the speakers are louder then my car stereo which is ideal for any speed, I just like the idea of having no wires Quote
Mcvicar Posted November 30, 2012 Posted November 30, 2012 I have a Viper helmet, flip front with bluetooth. It is not bad, quite comfortable and really good for music on the move. Phone calls are OK up to about 50, 60 mph but I wear ear plugs normally due to the wind noise. This is more likely my screen than solely the helmet but, as a flip front it will always be a little noisy. Internal sun visor is a godsend! I would happily buy again if that helps. Quote
RiffmasterII Posted December 1, 2012 Author Posted December 1, 2012 Thanks Mcvicar, very helpful Quote
Zod Posted December 2, 2012 Posted December 2, 2012 I have a Duchinni D619 flip up, got a bluetooth kit but hardly ever use it. I try to keep my phone off whilst on the road or turn it on silent...But I'd say a good bluetooth helmet would probably be the Caberg Konda, looks a decent enough helmet with bluetooth connectivity. Or there is of course the C3 (Cannot exactly type out the full name as I cannot remember it off by heart). But, I don't think you'd be wanting to fork out say £400 for a C3 Quote
dex Posted December 18, 2012 Posted December 18, 2012 Budget is a big thing...Great features, Great Quality, Great Price. Pick any two.I use a C3 (with a Sena Bluetooth kit) and it's a great combination. Before I put the noisy exhaust on my bike I could have phone conversations at 80mph and people just thought I was in the car.But it's not a cheap option. Mind you, I don't have a cheap head. Quote
