My 2001 zzr600 is in need of chain and sprocket replacement. Only been riding a couple of years and this is the first time I've needed to do this. I'd rather do the work myself and after doing a bit of reading up I've decided on a DID gold X ring chain/sprocket kit. I have found all kind of prices ranging from around £90 for the chain/sprocket kit to well over £100 just for the chain. I understand a few years back there was some fake DID chains going about and I'm just concerned these cheaper kits although from established companies are too good to be true, should I be wary or am I just being ocd?

Bigger companies shift more of these items so can secure bigger discounts from the suppliers.....so that probably accounts for the differences in price...... 8-) I think that once word gets out about fake stuff the companies then take extra precautions to distance themselves from the problem....so, again, bigger companies should be OK...... 8-)
