Took the death trap to the mot center today, surprisingly it passed..seems my foot is too fat to get under the gear changer...Oh well, time will tell.

Nice one mate......have MOT, will ride....... 8-)

You could try moving the gear change lever around a notch or 2 on the spline to raise it up a little bit.....see if that helps.....

Yeah will take a look, i think my foot might be too far forward. The speedo doesn't even work though..don't know why but will have to fix it and it may need a new chain. Other than that it seems okay, it shifts pretty well with the new carb on it...picks up speed like a rocket.

I'm guessing that the speedo cable may be broken or the speedo drive on the front wheel which is why the speedo don't work.....

Well, RIP little Honda, the bike broke down today on a national speed limit road, everything was going fine until i had to open up the throttle and keep up with traffic as a queue was forming behind me, i feel like the bike had no power behind it. I opened up the throttle, the cable got stuck, traffic behind me still piling up, revving like crazy, i try to close the throttle, wont work, pull the clutch in, revs even more, try to shift down, still revving, jumping about due to being unstable, smells like burning, put my indicator on and pull in at the safest place...turns out a piston ring might have blown, the engine wont start whatsoever, electrics work there's fuel going into the engine, cleaned spark plug, it has a spark through it...call a friend, he brings his car, try to fix it on the side of the road the bike wasn't having any of it so we took tank of a lobbed it in the back of his car and drove home. What a wonderful day trip out. Never buying a Honda again.... :crybaby:

And they say 4 strokes are more reliable than 2 strokes...our little scoot (which is Chinese) starts first time everytime.
