Passed the theory

I got 1 question wrong. I wish I knew which . Got 60 points on hazard perception. Should have been 65 but I got done for cheating on one clip, wrongfully IMHO. Still well pleased with myself.

can you tell me what to expect and how did you cheat? with hazard perception or should i say how did it think you cheated?

im not bothered about the theory side but not done hazard perception before. what do you do on it?

Congrats! Now time to go and try one out.

On hazard perception you're shown a video as if you're going down a road on a bike, you're simply meant to click every time you see a new hazard and click again if the hazard gets worse and you're going to be forced to take action to avoid it. Hazards are classed as almost anything though, even things like people walking down the pavement or a car at a junction sometimes. But if you click too much, then it thinks you're cheating by just clicking at random.

I'd like to say relax, but we all know that's not going to happen . My advice is to learn, then do as many practice exams as you can find online.

As for the clip I got done for. It's the one with cyclist coming at speed from a side road, turns in to your road and later swerves around a parked car. I've seen a very similar one in a practice exam somewhere.

The advice was to click whenever situation changes so I went like this:

- cyclist enters the frame, click

- cyclist is too fast and close to give way (bast*rd), click

- cyclist gets into your lane, click

- cyclist turns head, click (I think that's the correct moment)

- cyclist turns head again, click

- cyclist swerves, click (last one for good measure, though it's too late)

That worked out to about a click a second. I didn't click much before or after that. Total of 9 or 10 clicks for the whole clip.

the moto test android app has around 10 videos and that is one of them least i got the right app to play with then. even shows you the 5 section of points they give. my problem so far is click a touch too fast. so miss the 5 points, i may have to just tap then tap again when i think the hazard will progress.

I'm going on holiday soon. I'll start looking for a DAS course in September. Then a bigger bike in the spring or maybe for Christmas
