Probably a pretty silly question here but does anyone know how to get the casing from the number plate light on a 1992 cbr600f2 off?

My bulb needs replacing but can't figure out how to get into the thing.

Its driving me up the wall.

Nothing in the service manual about

Any help would be great thanks

If it's their it has to work ;-)

You may need to remove the full housing to get in it its not something I have had to do to be honest all my bikes have a tail tidy and no light!

Mine doesn't work cause I cut the cable off and it passed.. But if that is the case just get an led light instead

You don't need one to pass an MOT.. So you could just leave it.

I'm sorry but you have always needed a number plate light to pass an MOT....if those that passed youyr bike did so witha failed light then they could be done by the ministry..

they could be done by the ministry..

If the ministry can prove it wasn't working at the time of the MOT

obviously a cut wire wouldn't but a blown bulb could have been :)

my cbf number plate light is the actual rear red light. maybe same on yours? either way the rear light cluster has to come off.
