Throttle problem

Hi guys, newbie here.

So,

I was on a ride, Peugeot Tweet RS 125 ped. A car moved over so I proceeded to move forward, putting more pressure on the throttle to gain speed.

Heard like a snapping sound in the throttle, lost all traction in it, wouldn't spring back twists freely with no feeling just like a scraping sound when twisiting it.

I think the throttle cable has snapped, not that good with bike mechanics. The throttle cable is connected to the carb with the 'bent neck' connection. I'll add a picture, being Christmas I'm finding it hard to get hold of a cable to get it fixed. I've been without a bike now for a week.

yep, does sound like a snapped throttle cable. are you able to order one from the intermawebs? it should be a pretty simple job to replace it. secondly, you will need to properly adjust it. for this there are a wealth of youtube instructional videos.

best of luck!

(btw, before the admins say it, introduce yourself in the newbies section!)

Thanks for the reply. Shame really as I've been without a bike now for a week. Not a nice feeling! I've ordered one from the Peugeot website on the 20th, still hasn't even been despatched so God knows when ill be back on the road.
