After wearing a "traditional" motorcycle textile jacket (with lots of reflective stuff) I'm thinking about getting another one, which would be less conspicuous and more suited for wearing when off the bike. There are times when I need to go to a meeting, or just go out with office people and the bright black with green jacket does not fit the situation.

So the question is does anyone have a textile jacket that looks like an ordinary one, but with armour and waterproofing?

I did some research and found a couple of choices but there are no reviews around and I wouldn't like to spend a small fortune on something that is not worth it...

Thanks for any suggestions.

There are some waxed cotton copies of traditional style Bellstaff jackets on EBay for about £60 -£80 if they would suit.

was looking at waxed cotton stuff and I do like how the fabric looks and feels. but how does it stand to time? does the waxing go away and needs re-waxing or there are some other special tricks to keep it nice and fresh?

I have an old Barbour jacket that I've had about 10 years and no 're-waxing has been needed so far but it's not too difficult to do in any case.
