cockercas Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 Having never owned one and reading a thread on here asking about one i have a question. You fit your ground anchor into your concreet garage floor. I assume using rawl bolts. What stops any onewith a spanner from undoing the bolts? Theres a guy down the road from me with one of them yellow fold down bollards. Same fixing, 4 holes drilled into concreet but hes only put 3 rawl bolts in. 30 seconds and i could unbolt it . Quote
stewslash Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 you usually get countersunk cap screws with the ground anchor and two ball bearings that you tap into the cap screw meaning no one can undo them Quote
cockercas Posted February 19, 2014 Author Posted February 19, 2014 Ok then what stops you getting the caps of the top off the bolt? I looked on ebay before i posted here to see if i could work it out but most, even the ones priced at £80+ come with 4 rawl bolts. Quote
cockercas Posted February 19, 2014 Author Posted February 19, 2014 I just googled the ball bearing caps. Thanks that explains it. Quote
bmwdave Posted February 19, 2014 Posted February 19, 2014 Mine has a steel cover that slips over the bolt heads and is secured in place by the lock as the hasp passes through the plate, having said which it is such a tight fit I had to hammer it down so it will be a hell of a job if I ever want to move it.
