MR_W Posted April 17, 2014 Posted April 17, 2014 I've had this helmet just shy of a month. Specifically this one: http://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorcy ... rod/194056For those who can't be bothered reading a load of text I'll do a quick score breakdown:Comfort: 4/5 (Lose one due to wind guard catching on my chin)Noise: 4/5 (Seems noisier than my old RST, however am on a quicker bike now with different screen type)Ventilation: 3/5 (They work great, but the chin vent is an arse to find when moving)Value: 4/5 (Sells for £299.99 but I got mine for £220. But I would of paid £299.99 for it)Overall: 4/5I really love this helmet. Admittedly this design may not be everyone's taste but there are plenty of good ones, including a Sykes replica. The padding is nice and deep and creates a brilliant fit. The visor isn't a ratchet design, but you can adjust its stiffness to keep it open if you wish. It has a nice side catch to lock it shut and a built in sun visor that works wonders. Goodbye sunglasses on an iffy day, just pop the sun visor up and down.Noise is hard to judge as I changed bike at the same time, but I think the thicker visor on the speed-r does make a reduction in noise. For motorway riding or track days, still wear ear-plugs is my advice. The helmet uses a Double D chin strap, which feels nice and secure. No worries about a catch breaking.I'd buy this helmet again without a second thought. At 1.45 Kg it's a nice weight, but feels up to the task. Quote
