mealexme Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 whilst everyone seems to be having issues with them (including myself), I wanted to ask your advice on what to buy to replace itI'm running an alarm, 12v charging socket for my phone, heated grips and sometimes some other stuff off it, so with that in mind whats the best battery to buy that won't run out of juice even if its sat for a few days? Also the bike is used over winter and left outside overnight, so gets cold and isnt usually ridden far, so doesnt have long to charge. Basically, whats the most powerful battery you can get that doesnt cost a million quid? Quote
Guest Posted April 24, 2014 Posted April 24, 2014 MOTOBATT,£45 for your bike. http://tinyurl.com/me8swz8edit: Thats a GEL - the next best is an AGM - more power, still maintenance free. but in general a fair bit more expensive. for my bike one of those is around £75. (AGM)but GEL batteries are very good.. a definite upgrade from a 'wet' battery.and another edit: here is an AGM - same price. (lucky you) http://tinyurl.com/ne8hk6aGiven what you say.. i would go for the AGM. Its quite incredible how these have tumbled in price. Might be worthwhile sending them an eMail so you can be sure you get the right one for your specific bike.. Quote
