Guest Posted April 28, 2014 Posted April 28, 2014 When changing my rear wheel bearings I slipped with a screw driver and scratched the bearing spacer! A small piece shaved off causing a small groove. Will this matter or should I replace it? Cheers Quote
eastanglianbiker Posted April 28, 2014 Posted April 28, 2014 it shouldnt matter to much not much harm can be caused by it but it must be very soft metal to damage iti by slipping a screwdriver edge along it Quote
megawatt Posted April 29, 2014 Posted April 29, 2014 No problem with scratches on a spacer mate, unless it runs in a dust seal, just emery it smooth. Quote
Guest Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 Thanks guys for the response. Its a weight off my mind as I can't get hold of another even from a breakers yard! Quote
