iDeLonge Posted May 29, 2014 Posted May 29, 2014 Looking for a style like this photo. Anybody got any websites that will sell good looking ones, reliable but not too expensive? I'll push out 60 towards the helmet. Quote
maccy Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 Doesnt exactly answer your question but I would never buy a helmet online unless you have tried one on first. different manufacturer sizes vary, some fit people better than others and the key to having good protection is a good fit. Quote
Joeman Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 If it's for the road, Dont do it! The motorcross style helmets are not much good on the road. No visor and the wind gets under the peak and tries to blow your head off. Quote

Guess I gotta drag myself up to the shop get trying My off road helmet is the UFO Warrior shockhttp://www.mdracingproducts.co.uk/produ ... met-he008fits a great helmet, light weigh, and very comfy.. BUT for road use, its terrible. Stopping at traffic lights with goggles on sucks. on hot days they steam up.on cold days, your face gets cold as you have not wind protection.Get down the shops and look at the Dual Sports helmets. its what many of the enduro guys wear. RantMachine Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 I was considering one of those Spada lids, so I can look even more like I'm having a midlife crisis when I'm out on my GS Quote
Cpt_Tact Posted July 7, 2014 Posted July 7, 2014 I have a motox lid (Oneal) that I wear a lot on the road, it was about £70 few years back and is Gold approved. I will happily ride up to the 100mph mark and sit there (closed circuit of course) on my naked SV and my neck doesn't get snapped back or my head ripped off when I turn for life savers or just looking around. As long as you face the peak downwards and not like a chavs baseball hat then you will have no problems. I prefer my motox lid as its lighter and I find more comfortable, wearing goggles as well just feels more natural to me and the best bit is the funny looks you get of power rangers as you nod past them Quote
