MarkW Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 Hi folksApologies if this has been covered elsewhere. I have my Mod 2 test on Wednesday, but will need to keep my car license at hand until the end of August. Assuming I pass, what is the time limit for sending off the test certificate and car license? Many thanks! Quote
MissBex Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 Heya, Just had a look on the GOV.UK website and it says:"You must exchange your test pass certificate within 2 years of passing your test or you’ll have to retake your test."Hope this helps and good luck with your Mod 2! Quote
MarkW Posted June 20, 2014 Author Posted June 20, 2014 Thanks Bex! I'll be fine if I can keep 24 years of bad driving habits under control (ignoring the speed limit, sticking my wheel in the 'no waiting' box, cutting corners when nobody's there etc etc...) Quote
runningman Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 BTW takes about 3 weeks to get your licence back with your new entitlement added. Quote
MarkW Posted June 21, 2014 Author Posted June 21, 2014 Thanks guys. I'll need my car licence for something in a fortnight and then again in early august for our family holiday, so I'll wait until I get home at the end of August before sending it off. Quote
klingelton Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 I got mine back in a week, although I expect every government body is currently involved with working to reduce the passport backlog! Quote
