Power lag?

Went for a ride yesterday and I noticed when I change gear there seems to be a lag in power, it's seems as though the rear end gets pulled down and springs back up only then do I get any power down. All of this happens in probably a second or two but feels like so much longer!

Any ideas or am I just being stupid?

Could be simple throttle lag - Is the throttle adjusted correctly? Mixture right? Are you changing gear in the 'power band'?

Admittedly the throttle does need minor adjustment but that's only a few mm. And it's fuel injected everything standard so mixtures should be right I can't change them anyway. Brought a tyre pressure gauge as the rear doesn't feel right so hopefully that solves the problem.
