Pete Posted October 5, 2014 Posted October 5, 2014 It's that time of year again where the ACF 50 is brought out again. Anybody been to All Year Biker? From videos on YouTube and on their site it looks like they do a fantastic job.Only thing stopping me paying the £60 right now is they use pressure washers and that's always worried me a bit."> Quote

I'm with you on this one.. Ive never used a pressure washer on any bike Ive ever owned and have no intention of ever doing so. for £60 you can DIY and save a load of dosh. I liked the 'emphasis' in the video of how clean it looked.. positively gleaming. but the point of ACF is its a once only treatment.. and you shouldn't clean it again until the salt has gone from the roads.. by which time, because ACF is sticky. your bike will look a right mess - though underneath it will be pristine. now.. obviously you 'can' clean it.. painted areas like the tank and various plastics and reapply the ACF to any fixings that may have been washed clean.. so to get the best of both worlds. but thats entirely up to you. Throttled Posted October 5, 2014 Posted October 5, 2014 I use pressure washers, but stand back so the bike is getting a mist spray, not the jet blast. Quote
