I'm thinking about hosting a Pub Kwizz in aid of the riders charity, and was wondering if I could rely on any of the gang local to Derby/Notts for support (namely, having a go at it!)

The venue is TBC, but am contemplating approaching MFN to see if there's anything I could do there on a Wednesday Bike Night.

The format would be relatively simple, if MFN were to be the venue.

Punters buy a quiz sheet for £2, and hand them back in by 9pm. The sheet will have something like 40 questions on a variety of subjects plus three tie-breaker questions.

The winner stands to take home half of the proceeds of the evening!

Simple really, a bit like me!

Any offers of help once I've sorted the venue/date out would be most welcome!

Cheers mate.

Already have a shedload of questions - am likely to be doing some form of alphabet quiz - two A-Z listings each with a question a-la Blockbusters-stylee.

Would make a 52 question quiz though.

A word of warning get somebody to go through all questions as people read things differently, keep them simple and olbvious what answer you are after, also make sure all questions and answers up to date as there is always some smart arse who knows that it changed last week or something, enjoy setting the quiz is the only reasoni do it.

Good advice!

I don't think that a question like:

"What B is a traditional half-time hot drink for a football fan?" is likely to cause any confusion, but then again, if you're a southerner, the answer is likely to be "Beer" rather than Bovril ;)

Belive me you will be gobsmacked at how some people manage to misinterpret what you think is an olbvious question

Naaah, Marmite is the food of the Gods.

A by-product of the brewing industry in Burton-Upon-Trent, the whole town reeks of it on a good day!

Boffy Beevril is beef extract, not Yeast extract like Mymate
