Ninja84 Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 Hey guys,Just wondering when the isle man TT tickets are up for grabs or have they all sold out. Cheers Quote
igingeee Posted December 27, 2014 Posted December 27, 2014 Visited the IOM TT website and there are many different ticket prices and options, might be worth having a look at the race day/practice day dates etc before buying anything (also accommodation).http://shop.iomtt.com/TicketsHope this helps. Chrissb6 Posted December 28, 2014 Posted December 28, 2014 Race tickets should not be a problem, same old same getting there and back is the issue! Quote
igingeee Posted December 28, 2014 Posted December 28, 2014 Adding to the above there are companies on the island that hire bikes out during the event but finding one and inquiring about them way before hand is advisable as I read that companies sell out quickly during this period.Sounds like an event that unless you live on the island itself requires a lot of planning. rob m Posted December 28, 2014 Posted December 28, 2014 Hey guys,Just wondering when the isle man TT tickets are up for grabs or have they all sold out. Cheers Are you talking about ferry tickets as watching the racing is free unless you want to sit in the Grandstand or another of the ticketed areas. My advice is to get a ferry ticket and find a free spot. This year we watched from the church at St Ninians Crossroads for free while a few metres up the road there was a grandstand which charged £5 to sit there. We had the same view as them! Just keep trying the Steam Packet website to get a ferry, loads will become available after February when they ask for the balance and people drop out. As for accommodation, I sorted mine out a month before the TT this year, a nice apartment for £39 each a night. I never understand the panic of getting to the TT, I've managed the last 2 times with no hassle at all. Quote

Chrissb6 Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 I never understand the panic of getting to the TT, I've managed the last 2 times with no hassle at all.Well!! I got half way through making a group booking for the Manx TT in August last Friday afternoon when the web site came up with our outbound ferry as full - sold out. Had to call the Ferry company today and plea to get our last couple and bike on. They did managed to squeeze them on, but made it quite clear that there's absolutely no more spaces available. Heaven knows what the TT sailing are like?! Quote

Heaven knows what the TT sailing are like?! That's interesting, the Manx really is becoming popular! Glad to hear you go it sorted. It's on my list, especially watching the classics racing around the island. As for the TT, if anybody wants ferry tickets start enquiring now as this is the month when lots of people drop out as the full balance is due. As Del Boy would say, he who dares... Quote

We went over for a couple of days last year just loved it! Came back telling all sorts of tails in the pub. So we decided to drop our annual trip to Assen for the Dutch TT and do a week on the Island. The smell of Castrol R, screaming 2 strokes and the howl of 4 strokes from yesteryear run flat out, not a pop and bang parade lap has got to be seen and heard. Quote
