Paul-Kent Posted February 8, 2015 Posted February 8, 2015 Today I attempted to install the kit for my iPhone. Firstly connected the electrics and routed the wires along the frame and under the tank. Next stage was to fit the mount. As soon as I opened the pack I knew I had issues, doing the mock fit proved ithttp://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b58/pcritcher/19A0EA16-1757-4418-88E2-FC5E9B741920_zpsrmuq4wd2.jpgAs you can see the ball hits the bar. I didnt even consider this when I ordered the kit as there are various types of mounts.Anyway, I had to resolve the issue and I had a rummage in my bits box and found a spacer that would allow the mount to be raised enough to work.http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b58/pcritcher/844238EC-C3AA-4E0A-9692-D53E80554E06_zpsugmr7k3a.jpgOpened it up a couple of mm to take the 8mm boltfrom thishttp://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b58/pcritcher/3451F569-BA67-42C1-B982-00F1F5FAD45A_zpsoct3ik7b.jpgto thishttp://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b58/pcritcher/6A04B08D-157D-4E8F-9644-82D949B40863_zpsgg4jdw2j.jpgThis gives me just enough clearance to attach the quick release mounthttp://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b58/pcritcher/3A21D21D-29D5-4205-BBCC-DA9EF93B560E_zpsjafsnr7x.jpgAll fittedhttp://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b58/pcritcher/A51D54B7-C6F2-4E50-9003-2A25881ACAEB_zpstpiapsjy.jpgNext step is to get out and try it Quote
