Any vegetarians or vegans here?

I know this is a long-shot but are there any veggies or vegans on here? Being vegan is fairly easy most of the time but now and then it can be hard work. When it comes to motorcycle gear it's a bit hit and miss. There are plenty of textile jackets with CE armour, but few that are slimline as they tend to be bulky. Boots are not an issue as they make them in Lorica (SIDI do racing and touring and RST do racing boots only) which are arguably better than leather. Helmets are not an issue at all. Bike seats are mostly synthetic. A real issue that I'm having is with gloves. I'm finding it really difficult to find some decent non-leather but protective gloves. I've found a couple of pairs that don't seem to offer any protection at all, a bit like ski gloves and I found a pair of short motor cross gloves which may be OK for summer but they offer no cold protection. Has anyone come across some quality synthetic biking gloves that are going to protect my hands if I slide?

I've not see any and I looked far and wide.. its the contact point for the palms. It needs to allow slide and no man made products do that like leather I guess.

Enduro-style gear doesn't tend to contain much leather, it's mostly textile. Could give some endure gloves a look? Without reading too carefully I think Alpinestars WR-V would tick the right boxes. Goretex too, as a nice bonus.

Look for kevlar gloves.

Kevlar offers the abrasion resistance you need..

Thanks for the replies. Most gloves that contain Kevlar also contain leather. Sites like sportsbikeshop.co.uk have a good selection of gloves and you can filter them to leather, textile and mixed but it's poorly implemented and doesn't work. I may have found some Rukka gloves that are vegan, I'm just verifying it.

A bit left field. I seen a test on welding gloves against bike gloves. Turned out they had better abrasion resistance than all the other tested. As for impact, it scored low. May be something to look at.

Yes, they are the one's I'm looking at and yes, they are £130 but I can't seem to find any half decent ones that are vegan. I'd rather pay £130 than make do with some ski gloves but of course I'd prefer to pay less if I could find some worthwhile.

Did you actually look at the pair I recommended...? I'm yet to see them on sale for more than £90 and they have abrasion resistant bits on the palms as well as padding on the knuckles.

I did look at them thanks and when I saw they were Gortex, I thought great! But after reading some reviews I wasn't convinced as there was no armour on the knuckles, just some padding and a couple of people have said they were not waterproof, were not warm enough in cold weather and too bulky that you couldn't feel anything so I'm not sure. I found them for £84. Alpinestars did another glove that was vegan but it was the motocross type that stopped at the wrist but were not going to be warm or waterproof. I'll be doing some touring and serious miles so want to find decent ones.
