I'm struggling with the hazard perception, like a lot of experienced drivers.

I have noticed that it seems a wee bit easier with the CG clips, although they look downright weird (a bit dreamlike) and it's distracting to see the same pedestrians turning up in Cardiff and Milton Keynes. The visuals do look slightly clearer. However, the real world doesn't look like a CG world. No matter. I will do what it takes to get through this silly, misleading test.

Do you get offered a choice between the two when you do your test? Because obviously I am going to choose the one that looks clearer. I've got the official DVSA cd, which I didn't know existed until last week, and the Focus one.

They are supposed to be using all CGI clips at some point in the future if not already. Did my theory 12 months ago and the actual clips used in the test were much easier than the ones I had practised with/on.

Had a few CGI sample clips after my test was finished and found them very easy. IIRC the only hazard(s) was the emerging one and no other erroneous ones.

It was supposed to be all-CGI since 12th January (ref).

I liked the CGI test clips I had last year, but did have to remind myself to watch for hazards rather than at the quality of the rendering!

I had few of the CGI sample ones at the end of my hazard perception..soo much better than "VHS" quality definition of the real ones! But I agree, the CGI was a bit surreal!

Thanks for the link, Marky, that explains it well and is quite reassuring.

•include updated ... surroundings so they look modern

And that accounts for the girl in the miniskirt who looks as though she's about to start twerking.

Oh no, we must reduce the speed limits (http://www.plymouthherald.co.uk/40mph-limit-country-roads-Plymouth/story-23150187-detail/story.html)

And then catch everyone speeding with sneaky cameras (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article ... ivers.html)

Because roads in the UK are sooo dangerous

buuut... lets make the tests easier... fml, what a piss take
