I-AM-THOR Posted April 14, 2015 Posted April 14, 2015 Do you guys use front lift arm or is there something cheaper to buy or make instead? Thanks Quote
Chrissb6 Posted April 14, 2015 Posted April 14, 2015 Hi I've got the lift arm http://abbastands.co.uk/product-detail. ... arm&pid=42But yesterday l used a front axle stand to lift up the front of the Busa with the Abba stand on the rest of the bike, the front went up a breeze. Quote
Tankbag Posted April 14, 2015 Posted April 14, 2015 Yep I have the lift arm, the strap supplied with it is a bit flimsy tbh so I use a ratchet strap to pull down the rear, I like Chris's way of lifting the front though, I'll give that a go next time. Quote

The front stand was by far and away the easiest l found so far. Quote

Chriss I even tried putting a massive water container on the pillion to try heave the front up It's amazes me how all that weight disappears when you're riding it though Quote
RantMachine Posted April 14, 2015 Posted April 14, 2015 Got panniers? Fill 'em with bricks, works great for me Quote

Agree it all clicks into place once underway. Quote

I-AM-THOR Posted April 14, 2015 Author Posted April 14, 2015 Got panniers? Fill 'em with bricks, works great for me No but iv got 2 children I could strap to it instead I got a big camping style bag I could strap to the back. I also have some wagon straps and when it's done a ground anchor. Tie the straps around the back and pull down. I know it's only £40 for one, but that could be a nice new pair of gloves or at least a bit towards one. Only need it to take the wheels of a few times a year. Quote
Chrissb6 Posted April 14, 2015 Posted April 14, 2015 (edited) At a push you can take the belly pan off if fitted then with a small block of wood under the engine or exhaust use a jack if its only for the odd occasion. I find so much easier to clean the wheels with both wheels up. Edited April 14, 2015 by Chrissb6 Quote
whitedevil Posted April 14, 2015 Posted April 14, 2015 i ratchet the rear down to a ground anchor. Quote
