gsxr k2 air filter clean or replace?

Ok so can I clean that? I haven't got the cash for a new one at the moment. And does it even need replacing yet?

What does one that needs replacing look like

I've heard you can get washable ones? Kcn or something?

That should have been replaced ages ago!

The K&N is washable

As above get a k and n, they clean up, but that filter died a long time ago

Also will I notice a difference in the way the bike performs? Obviously I've only had it a month so I currently don't know any different. And how many miles can you expect an air filter to last before cleaning/Changing?

You should notice a performance gain as it can breath better. It should be changed/cleaned every service, clean even when it looks clean because it wont be clean
