Vacum problem

Hi guys & Dolls

I have a vacum problem with my 600 bandit when the cap is locked it stop the flow of fuel but if I open the cap the fuel flows good I have check the vacum on the tank that clear these are thing I have checked

I have run an old cable thought the vacum antill it came the other side, I have sprayed carb cleaner until it came out the other side tube I have taken the off the bike clean that out I just can't think what else I can do, the fuel seems to operate as it should,the fuel tap has been overhauled.


Any suggestion what else I can do I can't ride around with fuel cap open.

the tank breather is blocked


I think they are built in to the cap on the bandit


you have probably checked the overflow :wink:

There is a tank vacum that run thought the tank from the left side just under the the cap but thanks for your tip about the vacum on the cap didn't know that. I will strip cap down and check it out.

That's a water overflow. It's sole purpose is to drain water that gathers in the filler cap well.

yep breather is in the cap pop the slide open where the key goes in and spray lots of lubricant down there in the end it should wash through or look on underside of cap you should see the breather hole
