Epic Earl Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 I had to nip out on my bike in the rain on Saturday morning, first proper chance to test my Frank Thomas Jacket and trousers in the rain. All in all kept me dry, well apart from one area. There is a zip on the frank thomas trousers to zip it to the jacket. Zip is only about 10 cm long and in the middle. So I guess its to keep them close in the event of rain maybe.Only problem I had was either side of the zip, my T shirt must have been out in the open, so it got quite wet.No I dont usually travel out in the rain but is there anything I can do to try and limit this in future? al_stu Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 You will pretty much always get a bit wet.Best option if you're that bothered, spend 20 quid on some plastic overalls. You get specific ones although any extra large set will do. Not classy but will keep more of the rain off Quote
Epic Earl Posted June 15, 2015 Author Posted June 15, 2015 Its a shame I hadn't thought more about it and bought a longer style jacket. The one I have is the short body style. Not hoping to get out much in the rain these days anyway. Quote
fq-craigus Posted June 15, 2015 Posted June 15, 2015 Zips there to keep it together in the event of an off so u dont have bare akin, and also keeps the elements off your back. For fully waterproof you need a wp onsie they are brill and warm just a pain to get on so only worth it for long ish ride Quote
Epic Earl Posted June 16, 2015 Author Posted June 16, 2015 we are going for a long ride out to yarmouth and around the area a week on Saturday, planning ahead though as we hope to do a bit of touring in the future around scotland. Quote
