Scorpion Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 Ive seen a few of these on ebay, I note that some people are leather or nothing, and i know that they wont offer that kind of protection. Ive seen hoodies though with shoulder elbow and back protectors on ebay for around £60. Thought they looked ok for nipping to the shop or watever. Thoughts? Quote
fq-craigus Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 I have thought the same, and will prob end up getting one to try, like you say protection wise npt as good butbetter than being a squid. Although to everyone else it will just look like a normal hoodie Quote
Glorian Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 Personally i think if you're gonna wear something, just wear a normal jacket. Cost same price. Those hoodies tend to either be uncomfortable or provide very little abraision resistance which you're gonna want . Quote
Throttled Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 I think they look great and would get one but for I have an armoured denim jacket. I think the difference between leather/good textile and hoodies/denim is that the former may not need replacing after an off but the latter will. Quote
Guest Posted July 1, 2015 Posted July 1, 2015 Also http://www.bull-it.com/portfolio/mens-r ... acket-sr6/ Bit more pricey but I've heard good things. I'm thinking of grabbing one of these Quote
Clem Fandango Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 I got one of those £55 ones from eBay. The hoodey is kevlar lined and made in Pakistan, and the armor comes with all the correct CE markings on it. I wear it under a non armoured leather jacket for extra abrasion resistance. I don't mind for the time being because I have to take it to work where it gets a bit grimey, but I plan on getting something a little more trendy for other times. It's very bulky and hot, and the back protector has a wierd petrol like smell (gradually being masked by sweat). I really have no idea how good this will be in an "off", but it does feel like it will provide adequate protection, although really there's no way of telling. Quote
