thesloth Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 Hey guys, hope everyone is well. So something my moped seems to have developed is a shuddering while I'm leaning right. It's not horrific but when cornering anything faster than 25 it rather off putting. Anyone have any ideas what it could be, would seriously help me out Quote
G-TT600 Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 Tyre pressure? Without insulting you.... Always check the simple things first Quote
oldie59 Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 Tyre pressure? Without insulting you.... Always check the simple things first Possibly, but that would affect the steering when turning/leaning left or right? Another possibility is the wheel bearing on the right side? Quote
eastanglianbiker Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 wheel bearings are both sides of the wheel as other op said check tyre pressures then if they are ok start looking at wheel bearings and headrace bearings, also the engine mountings and rear wheel bearings Quote
thesloth Posted September 18, 2015 Author Posted September 18, 2015 Well, it's definitely the front and not the tyre pressure, not sure how I'd check bearings so any advice would be great and thank you Quote
eastanglianbiker Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 has it got a centre stand if so put it on it and then hold front wheel at top and bottom and see if there is any rocking movement die to side in it if ther is then wheel bearings are shot if they are ok then with the front still in the air get hold of the fork and see if there is any forward and backward free movement also turn handlebars from left to right action should be smooth and not feel any resistance or notching Quote
