Troy Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 Hello all! I have a question regarding my rear brake.... My machine is a Lifan 125 2007. It had its MOT recently a passed with no problems. However, the rear brake puts out good performance levels but squeals horribly. After 10-15 minutes of riding and wearing it in a little, the noise disappears. I want to solve this problem once and for all now though. It hasn't bothered until now simply because I logically assumed it was ok because it passed its MOT. Thoughts and/or suggestions are welcome at this time! Thanks Quote
RantMachine Posted November 10, 2015 Posted November 10, 2015 'Tis the season for squealing drum brakes, it seem! Had another thread about this last week: http://themotorbikeforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=58727If you didn't get any advisories about the brake then it's probably just dust in the brake drum, give it a clean out and you should be fine. Fozzie Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 Get a can of brake cleaner from Halfords, a cheap unused tooth brush and use both liberally to clean out the drum. Shouldn't squeak any more after that Quote
