Classickid21 Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 Hi my Er 5 is due a Tyre for the MOT i have a spare but its a 100-80-17 52Hbut i think stand with out looking it should be 110 70 17What's does the 80 mean and 52 mean i know H is speed (100-130) My Standard one is 1.3mm in the center will i get it through a mot ? Will it fit the rim ? Quote
Stu Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 110 is the width the 80 is the aspect ratio of the width and it equals the hight of the side wall ie the sidewall hight is 80% of the width (110) Quote

Will it fit the rim ?It should get through but you might get an advisory, As for fitting an alternative size tyre just be sure the tyre is within the spec of the bike and rim, also make sure it will match up with the front tyre.
