MrBrightside Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 Ever since I saw the Shark Raw helmet I really liked it. I've got a Ben Spies Ltd HJC RPHa10 as my day to day lid, very light, comfy but loud. Fancied something different to go with the loony looks of the SM. I did buy a motor cross lid, but after wearing it once, decided it just wasn't for me, no good on road just too windy and at anything over 70 it wants to rip your head off backward. Those lids are better off staying off-road only.So I treated myself to a Shark Vancore helmet, in Camo colours. Got a green iridium lens too to make it a bit more funky. Ordered from Holland and far cheaper than anything else in the UK.Anyway I got it the other day and I'm well impressesed. It's a great summer use helmet, well made and the lining is comfy as fook. Quite a small shell though but no big deal. Goggles fit perfect and it's not very loud at all. The goggles are quick release and fit really well into the lid itself. Only one vent, on top.All in all I'm happy with it so far. Looks like something out of HALO ODST too (bonus).Worth a shot if you like different, more suited to a naked or Supermoto though.http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e57/merlin6823/Mobile%20Uploads/20160421_103113_zpsn2ueczif.jpg Quote
MrBrightside Posted April 21, 2016 Author Posted April 21, 2016 And yes, I just realised how dusty my TV stand is, and it's polished up now lol. Quote
Gin Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 I have to admit I'm a helmet snob (Oi! No jokes!)But that is a very pretty helmet you have there! Quote
EthanKing Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 Was looking at that lid on eBay. Is it any good at keeping wind out? Is it noisy?Sent from my G7-L01 using Tapatalk Quote
MrBrightside Posted April 21, 2016 Author Posted April 21, 2016 It's a little more noisy than an AGV S2 if you've ever used one. Not ott but I always use plugs so it's not an issue. As for wind, there's no chin curtain so air does go under the chin and out the top. Not excessive and the goggles have vents anyway so they don't fog. So yeah, it's a bit windy but not too much. Like I said, a really good summer lid, but for long distances or bad weather (and winter) I'll go back to using the HJC. I'm quite fussy with lids, and I'm really liking this. Quote
