Tango Posted May 13, 2016 Posted May 13, 2016 Yeah, the tank comes off pretty easily....it's just those fuel line connectors that can be a pain if they've not been upgraded.... I'd be inclined to try to drain the tank as much as possible first.....just incase...... You'll also need to disconnect the electrical connector to the pump plate and the 2 overflow/vent pipes.....but if you prop the rear of the tank up a bit you should be able to get to them.The first time I took the tank off my Speed 4 I found the remains of a mouse nest between the airbox and the underside of the tank......and the little b'sterd had gnawed a hole through the airbox......not a big hole, so I managed to plug it..... I've no paperwork to say they have, so I guess we'll just see I'd be inclined to try to drain the tank as much as possible first.....just incase...... I'm tempted, considering how easy it looked on the video I saw. You'll also need to disconnect the electrical connector to the pump plate and the 2 overflow/vent pipes.....but if you prop the rear of the tank up a bit you should be able to get to them.Yea the manual does mention said connectors, I can't specifically remember which but basically there's 3, remove them all.
