nicklucey Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 Got a new sporadic high pitched whistley 'ting' coming from my exhaust at low revs, hot cold makes no difference don't think it's warming up/down noises as it's in time with engine Something to worry about, or just keep my earplugs in? Quote
Grumpy Old Git Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 Purchase a second-hand 'Ting Net' from fleabay. Attach to the rear of your 'pipe' and start the engine.Once you have caught the 'Ting' in your net, dispose of carefully and re-sell the net on Fleabay. The only hazard is that you may have a family of 'tings' (they do breed quite quickly) and catching them all can take several minutes! eastanglianbiker Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 it could be air leak on the intake it could be exhaust gasses escaping or it could be a mouse slowly roasting trapped in the engine Quote
Bonniebird Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 Vibrations? Is the exhaust well attached on the hangers? - could be a metal on metal thing if something is loose Quote
