megawatt Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 Anybody on here in Northeast Scotland. I'm in Huntly for a week then heading to John O Groats, then down the west coast. Got some routes off Throttled that I'm gonna try. Quote
Arwen Posted September 1, 2016 Posted September 1, 2016 For the NE head for the Cairngorms or stay around the fringes of the park. Loads of lovely roads around there (depending on the time of year). If you have never been up here before be wary of the A90 (road that cuts through Aberdeen/Angus/TaySide and Fife). It is one of the most boring and dangerous dual carriageways in the country. Be well aware of slow moving tractors using it, as well as the right turns across the carriageways (so people sitting in the central reservation area). This route is apparently rather fun - http://www.motorcyclescotland.com/routes/whisky-runs-through-it/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Although during the winter half of it may be under snow. There are also a few here too - http://www.bestbikingroads.com/motorcycle-roads/motorbike-rides-in-united-kingdom-/north-east-scotland-___2010.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Quote
