Hi! I have a Peugeot Speedfight 2 AC 2002 mod. I have removed the variator disc as the Peugeot Speedfight 2 does not have a variator ring like most other scooters. It has a Bidalot CT1 exhaust/silencer which is a replacement exhaust. The exhaust is supposed to have a restriction spot welded in the front pipe, but I don´t know if there is one, or how to remove it if possible. The scooter does about 36 mph on a straight road, and a maximum of 37-38 mph downhill (it pysically can´t go any faster for some reason?). Is this because of a restriction in the exhaust or because of the cdi? Should I switch to a tuning cdi? Or is it something else?

Are you licenced to ride a bike that goes over 30mph?

If not, expect trouble when the old bill catch you.

But exhaust restrictions would prevent higher speeds as would many other things.
